Who is responsible

Thelwen is made and maintained by one person. There is no company behind it yet. For everything this page describes, that person is the data controller.

The data controller is Idan Yakubov.

Questions about this policy can be raised in public at github.com/IdanYakubov/thelwen/issues. Requests about your own data, such as seeing it, correcting it or deleting it, should never go in a public tracker. Send those to thelwensupport@gmail.com.

What this policy covers

This website, the waitlist on it, and the paid Thelwen service once it opens. The waitlist collects what you type into it. The service, which is not open yet, will store your data so it can sync and analyse it. Each part is described separately below, and nothing said about one is a promise about another.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist on this website, we collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • your answers: the problem you’re facing, the features you want, and what has helped you focus, including anything you type;
  • the country used to show you prices, the page language and your browser’s language, which button you joined from, and any campaign tags in the link that brought you here.

We use your email to tell you about Thelwen’s launch and early access, and your answers to decide what to build. We may share summaries of what people answered with the community, but never your name, your email or anything that identifies you. We don’t sell any of it, and we don’t use it for advertising.

We rely on your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and every email we send includes a way to stop them.

Entries are stored with Supabase, which keeps them on our behalf and may store them outside your country. We keep them until the full system has been open for 12 months, then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

The full system (not open yet)

Nothing in this section happens yet. When the paid full system opens, it will need an account. It will store your tasks, sessions, journal and mentor conversations on our servers so they sync between your devices. It will send what the AI mentor and the analysis need to an AI provider, and payments will be taken on the website by a payment provider, never through an app store.

Before it opens, this page will name every provider involved, what each one receives, where it is, and how long anything is kept.

This website

The website has no analytics and sets no tracking cookies. It keeps a few things in your own browser: the country you chose for prices, the language you read the page in, and whether you have already joined the waitlist. None of it is sent anywhere, except that the country and language go with your waitlist entry if you join. Exchange rates for local prices are fetched when the site is built, never from your browser.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or get a copy of it, by writing to thelwensupport@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

Thelwen, its website and the waitlist are for people aged 16 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if we learn we have, we delete it.

Deleting your data

Waitlist: write to thelwensupport@gmail.com and we will delete your entry.

Accounts, once they open: you will be able to delete your account and everything stored with it from your settings, or by writing to thelwensupport@gmail.com.

The mentor is not a professional

The mentor is a tool for reflection. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If you are in crisis, contact a crisis line or emergency number where you are.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top moves. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, waitlist members hear about it by email before it takes effect.
